Former World Champions Spain are expected to take full control of group B despite facing massive competition from European Champions Portugal in a group that also comprises outsiders Morocco and Iran. The La Roja ruthless form in the qualification is expected to play a major role in Spanish side merging top of the group.
The current Spanish squad is rich of talent in all departments with notable players including star Defenders Sergio Ramos and Gerard Pique as well as Manchester United shot-stopper David Degea forming a compact unit in defense.
Going forward Julien Lotegui led side are full of talent with likes of Isco, Diego Costa and Iago Aspas forming a fierce attack supported by a talented midfielders David Silva, Thiago Alcantara and Lucas Vasquez among other star players will for sure take the group by a storm.
Spain will be eager to bounce back from their from their disastrous 2014 campaign to claim a spot in World elite yet again.
The Spaniards will be counting on their experienced skipper Sergio Ramos to guide them pat their World cup rivals.
The Spaniards are not only the favorites to win the group but they are among the favorites to win the tournament
Spain are +1500 to win the group
European champions Portugal led by reigning World Player of the year Cristiano Ronaldo will be keen to spoil the Party of the Spaniards and claim the top spot in the group in the group. Portugal will be highly spirited going into the tournament after their Euro exploits but given the massive talent of the Spain side, they are expected to come second of the group ahead of Morocco and Iran.
Fernando Santos side boasts a talented squad that includes rich attacking talent led by skipper Cristiano Ronaldo supported by talented Goncarlo Guedes and Andre Silva. The Portuguese midfield is formidable with Gielson Nelson and Joa Mario forming part of the midfield. The Portuguese backline is rock solid boasting talents like Cedric and Jose Fonte.
Portugal also boasts a reliable goalkeeper in the form of Rui Patricio and will prove too much to handle to likes of Morocco and Iran.
Portugal will be keen to make history by claiming their first World Cup in their footballing history
Portugal is +1000 to win the group.
Morroco is an outsider to win the group given the rich talent and experience of Spain and Portugal in the group. Morroco is an organized unit on paper but cannot match the arsenal of Spain and Portugal but are expected to do better than their middle East counterparts Iran in the group.
Morocco will be banking on the guidance of Inspirational skipper Medhi Benatia to guide to the last 16 tournament which is an uphill task.
The Atlas lion will be hoping their united team propels them in the group that comprises of giants Spain and Portugal. The North Africans will enter the group as underdogs led two-time African cup winner coach Havre Renard.
Morocco is +120 to emerge, winners of the group.
Iran the least experienced side in the group are expected to finish last in the group. The middle east nation lacks the pure talent to guide them past the group stage.
Iran will be lucky to get a point or two from the group and they do not pose any real threat to teams present in the group despite being led by experienced coach Carlos Queiroz.
